Hey I'm hookin up a backup cam does anyone know which wire color is the reverse light? I don't have a meter to test the wires and couldn't find the answer when I searched thanks

should be white/Lt green @ the Integrated poweer module.
Should be the same color @ the light itself, i'd just go there.

If you go to Just4jeeps.com and find the factory back-up cam instructions it shows you what color and where to find it. Thats what i did and if i remeber correctly it's in the main wire bundle that runs down the drivers side of the truck. You have to pull up panels to get the video cable run anyways.

okay thanks for the help, idk if im doin this wrong but i have the wires hooked up to the lt gr/white wire that is in the harness for the brake lights. The cam doesnt turn on though or anything when i put it in reverse. what could i be doin wrong??????

Figured it out no need to fret not that anyone responded lol. In case the people plannin to add one want to know the connection with the tail light wasn't good enough those wire tap things suck so I soldered the wires together and it all worked. anyone adding a cam should know that the reverse light is definitely the light green and white wire in the Wk. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the wire I am installing one this week so don't think you posted this in vain. Did you find it in the drivers kick panel, pass kick etc. Any help would be cool less I got to tear apart the better

I know this one is old, but I am having a terrible time installing this back up camera with the reverse light wiring. I am tapping into the 12v and ground wires of the driver side hatch door reverse light. I even solder the wires together. I don't have a volt meter, but I do have a volt tester light pen so I don't know if I'm getting a solid 12v. Camera is not powering on for some reason, it's like there's not enough power there. I hooked up the back up camera to a 9v battery and that's when everything works. Any suggestions?

Use a t connector to splice the power wire for your backup camera in with your cigarette lighter. Constant power when vehicle is on. Reverse light wire is just supposed to be a signal wire to let your head unit to display backup camera. What color is your reverse light wire? What year and model Jeep? Where was it located?

Just take off the tail light and connect the positive (red) wire from camera to backup light , it should be white/L-green and black wire from camera to ground black wire on the same tail light, from stereo the wire mark as ( reverse or back) to same white/L-green to wires that are connected to shift gear that's what am I doing right now on 05 Grand Cherokee. Good luck
